remote work and multiple state taxes

I live in Kansas and 2024 worked at a missouri company that took missouri taxes. I also worked at a RI company that took KS taxes. My question is can I put the taxes paid to MO for my remote work on my MO tax form and then use those same dollars to reduce my KS taxes on my KS form. In the past years I have worked at the same company in MO but not remotely and I would just reduce my KS taxes by what I paid to MO. Now that Remote is in play not sure if I can do both or if I can just reduce KS with the MO taxes or take the remote deduction for MO taxes(depending on which is better). Please advise

No, you can file a nonresident Missouri return and claim zero income.  You will get the taxes withheld refunded.  Your company should have changed you to Kansas withholding.  If you request the change in withholding, you will not have to file a Missouri return next year.

If a nonresident employee performs all of his or her services outside of Missouri, the wages paid to that employee are not subject to Missouri withholding.
