Received a 1099-R from NY for an early withdraw. It listed NY tax witholding as EXEMPT. I now live in NC and Turbotax figured that $ amount in an increased my NC tax.

Should I be taxed by NC for 1099-R from NY?

Your resident state will tax all income from all sources even if it was not taxable to NY in prior years.
