Form 1095-C

What am I supposed to do with this form?

This form is for informational purposes only. You may need information provided on this form to assist the IRS in determining whether you are eligible for a premium tax credit for purchasing individual health coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace, such as Covered California.

Yes I read  your response- but California wants proof you have medical insurance and where on Turbo tax do you note with that form you have it so you do not get a penalty - I did not see it on Turbo tax - Thanks

California does not require proof of health insurance for 2019, but for next year (tax year 2020).

"

To avoid a penalty, you will need health coverage for each month beginning on January 1, 2020 for:

  • Yourself
  • Your spouse or domestic partner
  • Your dependents
