It is unlikely that you still have register receipts to refer to, unless you made large purchases. If you don't have access to receipts, please just answer in the way that best reflects your spending for that tax year.

I lived and worked in NJ only. But my w2 contains NJ & NY. And it seems I was double taxed. Do I need to purchase New York state return (I have a deluxe version and NJ is included)?
