I am filing a PA tax and it is asking for what type of retirement income...this is an inherited IRA with a RMD....how do I answer this?

I am unable to duplicate your situation and get the screen you mention. What are the choices you are given on the screen?

On the 1099-R, what code is in Box 7: Is it Code 4--Death or Code 7--Normal distribution?

Box 7 of the 1099R should be coded as "4" Let us know if different. Make sure that you entered box 7 correctly during the federal interview. When PA program asks what you of retirement income is represented by the 1099R, select "IRA". You should then get a screen that states it is not taxable due to death.
