I'm a student at PSU and a resident of VA.  I know the state have reciprocal agreements for taxes.  I worked for PSU on campus and was taxed in each state by PSU (as provided by W-2).  Turbo Tax doesn't provide much help in the state package and I don't know how to complete my state tax return.  Anyone have a similar experience or can offer a little help?  Thanks.

PA and VA have a reciprocal agreement,  so you only need to file in VA.

But if you had tax withheld in PA, You should file a PA return to get your withholding back.

Fill out the PA return first, then the VA return.

Isn't there a form that PSU needs to have on file to receive the reciprocal agreement?

The form is to stop them from withholding PA taxes from your paychecks. You give it to your PA employer.

See the link to the form below:

Form REV-419 EX
