My state is missing from the Box 15 list, and the program wont let me move on until I select a state. What should I do? I live in Tennessee.

Several states do not have a state income tax. So these states will not show up in certain drop down lists. Leave boxes 15, 16, and 17 blank when you enter a W-2 for these states.

Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wyoming

Since my imported W2 has the state of TN filled in it will not allow me to move on, since TN is not in my drop down list.

If you cannot delete the TN information that was imported with your W-2, delete the entire W-2 and enter it manually. After entering manually, leave boxes 15, 16, and 17 blank.
