I need help my state is not on the list for state taxes.

the list jumps from South Carolina to Utah. Texas is not on the list and I cant finish my Taxes because of it.

Texas does not have any state income taxes for individuals and as such, there is no filing requirement.

Therefore, if you lived and worked in Texas for the entire year, you will only have to file a federal income tax return.

Are you referring to entering your W-2?

Several states do not have a state income tax. So these states will not show up in certain drop down lists. Leave boxes 15, 16, and 17 blank when you enter a W-2 for these states.

Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wyoming
