I moved from the UK to Massachusetts at the end of July 2019. I'd been in the UK for several years and this is my first time living in MA.
For my federal tax return I include my foreign income but it gets removed from the income I'm taxed on due to the tax treaty between the UK and the US (I already paid taxes on the income in the UK).
When going through my state return, TurboTax is pulling through my whole income (UK plus US). I have marked that I was a "resident of a foreign country that has a tax treaty with the U.S." in the Income Exclusions section but it doesn't seem to affect anything or ask for further information (I was not a student while working abroad).
Is there any way to remove my foreign income from my MA return?

It doesn't appear that the foreign income can be excluded from your income for your Massachusetts tax return. The instructions to Form 1 have you start with your gross federal income, and there is no mention of a deduction for foreign earned income.
You can review the instructions here:
https://www.mass.gov/doc/2019-form-1-instructions/download
There is quite a bit of info on this page: https://www.mass.gov/service-details/learn-about-legal-and-residency-status-in-massachusetts#treatye..., but see the section headed Income excluded due to tax treaties.
"Income that is federally excluded due to a tax treaty is also excluded for Massachusetts tax purposes."
You should contact support about this issue. https://support.turbotax.intuit.com/contact/
We did contact live support. After being transferred to a higher tier we were able to get the foreign income excluded. Residency in Mass did not start until the end of the foreign income.
