Getting ready to do my 2020 taxes and I need to know the amount of my State refund for 2019 I cant bring up my forms on the computer

  You have to access your own account and/or  print it for yourself using exactly the same account and user ID that you used when you prepared the return.

Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them.  Log out of the account you are in now.

Or did you use the desktop version of TurboTax?  If so, the files are on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive.

SAVE YOUR TAX RETURN !

EVERY year before mid-October you should save a copy of your tax return as a pdf and print a copy of it for your records.  That way you will not be searching online frantically when you need it for a lender, FAFSA forms, your next tax return, etc.

If you received a state tax refund this is also income and may be taxable.

If all three of the following are true, your refund counts as taxable income:

• You itemized deductions last year, instead of taking the standard deduction
• You claimed state and local income taxes (not general sales taxes)
• Claiming the deduction helped you increase your federal refund or lower your tax bill

You should receive a 1099G form for the state and local refund.

Tax forms were required to be in the mail by January 31, 2021, so you will probably receive it very soon.

The IRS won't start accepting returns until 02/12/2021,so I highly recommend that you wait until you receive the form.

For some states you can get your 1099-G form on the State Tax Departments web site.
