Portion of wages that are reportable to resident state

Turbo tax asks On your federal return, you reported wages of _________. enter the portion of these wages that is reportable to Michigan. If none, enter zero. i worked in both CALI and New York last year and had no wages for Michigan. So do i put 0 or do i add up both my w2s and put that amount. It seems as if i need to put my gross income, but that doesnt seem to take into account taxes already paid to the non-resident states.

Portion of wages that are reportable to resident state

All of the wages are reportable to Michigan if Michigan was your resident state the whole year.  Your Michigan tax will be computed on wages earned everywhere, but then you may take a credit for taxes paid to other states (NY and CA) which prevents double taxation.
