Please explain line #30 on 2020 federal return. Recovery rebate credit?

What is the recovery rebate credit?

If you didn't get the 1st or 2nd Stimulus payments or qualify for more.  Do you have an amount on line 30?  Did you already get the Stimulus payments?  

When you went through your return did you enter the payments you already got into the 2 boxes?  They are reconciled on your 2020 return.

I did get both stimulus payments one for $1200 in 2020 and one for $600 in January 2021. Turbo tax calculated my 2020 federal return. I recieved $600 less on my federal tax refund.

You  probably didn't enter the second 600 you got or you got it after you filed.  So it gave it to you again, which was wrong.
