I moved to Alabama in August and took a Required Minimum Distribution in November. Is the total RMD taxable in Alabama??

There is no RMD in Alabama. The required minimum distribution is the amount you are required to withdraw for federal tax purposes, but Alabama (and no other state) cannot require more or additional distributions.
Alabama exempts certain retirement income from state taxation. See Income Exempt from Alabama Income Taxation.
Thanks, but the question is is the total amount taxable in Alabama even though I could have taken it before i moved to Alabama and it wasn't really "earned" after I moved to Alabama but received afterI moved.
