Out of state bond interest not carrying to Colorado return

I have a 1099DIV where I provided information about where the tax exempt dividends were earned. I provided the information needed correctly (see attached photo). However, the data on the non-state exempt dividend interest does not show up as an add back in the CO return. I have a different 1099DIV where the information I provided DOES show up in the add back in the CO return so I know it can be carried but it is not for this one 1099DIV.

Any suggestions as to how to get it to correct itself?

Thanks.

Yes......

1)   go back to that page and select the FIRST button.

2)  Change that "One State" selection to "Multiple States",  (at the bottom of the list of states)

3)  Re-select the second button and ensure your prior breakdown settings are still correct.

4)  You (might) have to hit the "Continue" at the bottom before that change taxes effect.

But pay attention to the CO Refund/Tax Due as you change the settings to see if it appears to have worked..

_____________

That "should" work, as it did for my NC situation........post back if it doesn't, as there is another way.

Note that you can include US Territory bond $$ for CO exemption too,  (Yeah, you might already have included them)

Out of state bond interest not carrying to Colorado return

Thanks, SteamTrain. I had tried deleting out the data before I received your reply, then entering it back in, saving the results, and then observing the result for CO. No Change.

I did fix it by deleting out the 1099-DIV entry that was downloaded from Fidelity, then re-entering it manually, and the out-of-state exempt interest dividends then showed in the CO return.

Not sure what I did to create this problem with TT, but it was something!

Thanks, sincerely, for taking the time to help me!
