NY non-resident using income earned in other states from my Federal form

Travel nurse worked in 2 states that are not where I live, home is in TN, Did the federal return using all income from multiple states. Wisconsin just used the income earned for that state, no issues. NY is pulling in the full federal amount including Wisconsin, even though I only allocated the income earned in NY. So my question is, how do i correct this? Seems like a SW bug/glitch to me.

So for example, if my total federal income is $90k, and my NY income is for only $55k of the $90k, then the amount used for income purposes should be the $55k right?

New York uses your total federal income to determine your tax rate, but it then applies that rate only to your New York income.

Thank you for the reply.

I was thinking of going back to the federal return and deleting the Wisconsin income W2 and then try to finish up my NY return? See if I get the same amount.

Not sure what that would accomplish.  New York requires you to enter your federal amounts on its non-resident tax return.
