Shouldn't there be a deduction of $4000 ($8000- married) for military retirement pay?

Back in the Federal tab ... when you entered the 1099-R ... you needed to indicate it was from NC and then choose an option on this screen ...

It is listed as from NC on the federal section. On the "Where is this Distribution From?" question, I have answered none of the above because this military retirement pay does not fall under these categories (he did not serve 5 years prior to 1989 for the Bailey settlement). According to what I have read though he should still receive the $4000 deduction because it is military retirement pay. As of now we are being taxed on all of his retirement pay by NC.
