I made w2 income and also had income from Uber.
When I go to My business summary on nj return.
The uber income was 9102 after deductions on my federal return
my uber income was 2427. The deductions were 6675.
When I'm doing my nj state taxes. They ask to add the
deductions back in. So is it accurate that I need to add the 6675
back into the nj tax form and my uber income is 9102
not the 2427 that I was able to use on my federal return.

No.
You would only make adjustments if you had any of the following situations:
If you do not have any of the items above, you should be reporting the net profit(loss) from your business on Schedule NJ-BUS-1.
If you do not have any of the above items, you do not need to entry any adjustments in the state interview section.
This amount flows onto your personal New Jersey return.
I am having a similar issue. I own a rental property that I live in and after taking all the federal taxes out it says my total rental income was $1. Do I add in the full rental income into the NJ-BUS-1 or do I add $1 as my income?
Thank you
You should not need to make any adjustments it is the "Net" profit (loss).
