New York non resident form it-203-f...incorrect classification of income

I am completing IT-203-F as a non-resident. I have vested RSUs that appear in Box 1 of my w2. As a result, they pull forward to Schedule A. However, they are RSU's that I need to allocate across multiple years using Schedule B. TT will not allow me to allocate using Schedule B. It forces me to use Schedule A which is not correct. Also, if I try to use Schedule B, TT only recognizes the result as a Capital Gain which is also not correct. Please advise.

You can access and complete Schedule B of IT-203-F by going directly to the Forms view in TurboTax Desktop.  In the interview (or on the Allocation Wks) when asked about the capital gains allocation, enter the same amount that is allocated to New York as a negative amount to zero it out.  Then add that same amount as New York wage income in the income allocation for 2025.   If you are using TurboTax Online, you have to indicate you want to allocate the income on your W-2 with the RSU income over multiple years on IT-203-F.  Instead of completing Schedule A, complete Schedule B.

Thanks but this doesn't completely resolve the problem.  TT is pulling forward the $ from the W2 and placing it in line 1c in Schedule A of  it-203-f.  Even after applying a reversing entry to zero out the amount, TT is forcing me to fill out Schedule A or else it flags as an error.   In this circumstance, I only need to fill out Schedule B.

Filling out schedule A won't cause any issues.  There is no information entered to change the tax return if you have removed the carryover from the W2.
