No, you do not need to file a VA return. The VA real estate tax is still deductible on the federal return. VA does not have a RE tax deduction on the state return, so there is nothing to gain by filing a VA return.

No. I’m Military so I currently reside in the house in Va. Nebraska is my Home of record.
