If your tax return (form 1040) has $600 on line 30, this means that the second stimulus that you did not receive has been credited to you as the Recovery rebate credit. This amount of $600 has been included in the amount of your refund.
If you received your refund as indicated on your tax return, the amount of the refund already includes your Recovery Rebate credit.
Hello,
Thank you for the reply. The total refund amount that I was suppose to receive was 1315, but only 715 was returned to me. It doesn't look like they included the 600 into the refund.
The IRS should notify of any adjustments they have made.
Please see the link below for more information as to why your refund may have been adjusted as the site addresses many issues that may have applied to your tax return.
There is a way to check your refund as well under Q G2. It will have more information as it pertains to your tax return.
Correcting Recovery Rebate Credits on returns already filed
Thank you for the information, I just checked with the IRS and they did adjust the refund amount. I should be getting a letter in 5 days explaining the reasons. I appreciate your help, Thanks.
