my state taxes owed seem very high -am in Georgia-they are almost as high as my federal owed I am self employed-did I do something wrong??

Print it out and compare it to 2018 return. Maybe you'll spot something you left out or entered wrong.

I did that and it does seem that there are deductions entered on 2017 that are not on 2018(I am working on my 2018). The problem is that I can't see where to enter theses deductions as there were done in conjunction with my federal(it was filling out the GA portion from my Federal answers.)

If you are working on a 2018 return you must be using desktop software. Go to Forms mode and look at the forms. Maybe you will spot something there.
