your social security may not be taxable. gross social security shows up on line 6a if there's nothing on line 6b that means based on your other entries your social security isn't taxable. there should be a Social Security Benefits Worksheet where the taxable amount is computed
You got me I filed as I was told.I paid the extra in case there is an audit.I hope it is right it saved me $1800 over last year.
If you entered the SS income as directed in the correct place in the program then TT will handle this correctly. As stated before review the return and the SS taxability worksheet if you want to confirm you made all the correct entries.
