I use Acorns to invest, and when I preliminarily received a copy of my 1099-R, I realized that I had left an old North Carolina address for my residential info. However, I've been living continuously in Mississippi since August 2023. How do I properly file it?

The address on your form is irrelevant. You do want to update it with the issuer, but the important information is what is reported on the form.
You will want to notice if you had any state withholdings reported in box 14. If so, the state those withholdings were submitted to is listed in box 15. If it is NC, you will want to file a non-resident return for NC so you are able to get those withholdings refunded to you. Any distribution you had will actually be taxed by MS since that is where you reside.
@CatinaT1 Similar situation here. Do we still have to put the box 15's "State/Payer's state no." even if it's wrong?
Box 15 shows what state the pension or IRA administrator sent your withholding to. TurboTax also uses this to trigger what states you need to file.
If it's the "wrong" state, you still need to enter it, because in many cases you will have to file a non-resident return in that state to get your withholding back.
