My NYS tax return shows taxable interest on NYS tax exempt interest. there should not be this entry. How do I delete from return

I have tax exempt interest for NYS on my imported UBS 1098.   It shows on my NYS tax return as additional interest in NYS modifications.  This is not taxable since it is NYS tax exempt bonds.

Go back to the entry in the federal return.  Just type 1099-INT ot -DIV, whichever it is, hit enter, then click on the Jump To.  Find the entry for this income and click to open on the screen.  Hit Continue and you'll be able to choose that your state doesn't tax all this income.  Keep going until you get back tot the  summary.
