TurboTax will help to guide you through the process of completing a part-year return for your states, both the one you lived in prior to moving to Mississippi and the Mississippi return.
For Mississippi, if you are filing a joint return, the $12,000 exemption can be used even if only one spouse has Mississippi income. Be sure you are reporting only income earned while you were a resident of Mississippi or income from Mississippi sources.
Take a look at the following TurboTax article for some further guidance about filing part-year state returns:
How do I file if I moved to a different state last year?
....and you need to define "just moved" ???
We're into March of 2022. Did you move in 2021, or 2022 ?
...if you "just moved" in Jan or Feb of 2022, you don't file a MS tax return at all for 2021.
