My employer deducted state income tax for NC. The form asks if I was a part time resident of the state or made money there. I live and work only in SC. What do i do?

I'm given two options. 1. more than one state of residence 2. made money in NC but never lived there. Neither is correct

If you neither lived in nor physically worked in NC during the tax year, then your work income is not subject to NC income tax.

In order to obtain a refund of the incorrectly withheld NC tax, you must file a non-resident NC tax return, on which you show the NC withholding but report zero NC income.

If your employer does not withhold South Carolina income tax for you, then you must make quarterly estimated tax payments to SC.
