My 1099-R shows Colorado taxes even though I moved to a different state in 2017. Do I need to file in Colorado?
We moved from Colorado in 2017. Our 1099-R shows taxes were taken out for four months in Colorado even though we were residents of another state. The 1099-R only shows the total amount of distribution ans id also taxed in our new state. What do I do?

Yes, if you want to get the taxes you paid refunded.
File as a non-resident.

And when you file your non-resident CO return, be sure it shows zero CO income. That will insure that the incorrectly withheld taxes will be fully refunded to you.
**Answers are correct to the best of my ability but do not constitute tax or legal advice.
