Moved from CA to WA and my entire capital gain (stock sale) was in CA. What should I enter in this box Earned/Rec'd From CA Source as if CA Nonresident for Full Year

I believe the box "Earned/Rec'd While a CA Resident" should be the same as "Net Gain/Loss as if CA Resident for Full Year". Also what should "Earned/Rec'd From CA Source While a CA Nonresident" be filled with?

Yes. "Earned/Rec'd While a CA Resident" should be the same as "Net Gain/Loss as if CA Resident for Full Year".

"Earned/Rec'd From CA Source While a CA Nonresident" should be $0 since all your stock sales took place in California.

Thank you so much for the response @ErnieS0 .

Just a quick follow up to make sure I enter the correct data in the returns.

The box "Earned/Rec'd From CA Source as if CA Nonresident for Full Year" should also be 0, correct?

Yes, that is correct. You would enter 0 for the Earned/Received from CA Source as if CA Nonresident for Full Year. Capital gains from stock sales would not be included in a nonresident's income, so this would be 0.
