Hi,
I have a question about Michigan House Bill 4290. This might be early, but wanted to get some information before I start filing taxes. I just purchased a home in Dec 2021 and qualify as a Michigan First Time Home buyer (House Bill 4290). But I am not sure if TurboTax has the new law added to its Michigan state filing section. Hoping to find some answers on this topic.

Michigan House Bill 4290 went into effect on January 1, 2022. If you purchased your home in December 2021, you would not be eligible for this deduction. This would not be part of the 2021 TurboTax program.
Got to page 12 of this article 2021 HIB 4290.
