I am trying to transmit a 22 Michigan CIT return for a business with FYE 9/30/23. I initially tried transmitting both the 1120 and the CIT at the same time, multiple times over 30 days. I would receive the message that the "agency is not accepting e-file at this time". I spent 2 hours on the phone, mostly on hold, with TT "support" I talked to multiple levels of support, each time having to explain that there is no "filing window" for corporate returns, and had to show them proof of the fact that I file these two returns at the same time every year for the last 8 years. The last level 2 or 3 support person I talked to admitted that it was indeed a TT problem, and that in 2 days they would contact me and give further information. That was a week ago. So now, what I have is confirmation that it is a TT error, and apparently there is nothing I can do about it. I tried the day after the phone call to uncheck the Michigan Return, and file the 1120. It went through and has been accepted. I still can not get the Michigan Return to transmit. Michigan requires the return to be e-filed. Am I going to have to go out and purchase a different product to file this return? After I specifically paid TT for the Michigan CIT module? I need some help here please. Short of spending another 2 hours on the phone to be told that it indeed a TT issue, I am not sure what else to do. Very disappointing from a product I have been purchasing for over 8yrs.

Update, for all those that use Turbotax. They guarantee nothing. Their technical support is laughable. Today's call which lasted just under an hour resulted in the tech telling me that Turbotax no longer supports that, and that the previous tech should not have told me that it could. Turbotax does not support filing previous years returns, even though the due date of this return fell in the current year. I can not file a return using a product I specifically paid for to file to do so, within the timeframe for filing that return. The tech today refused to elevate the ticket even though I asked multiple times. I used this for filing this return for the prior 7 years without problem. They answer I was given to that. "if you read the fine print on the website under filing previous year returns, it states that abilities and pricing can change at any time". That is the kind of customer service you get, zero retention strategy. When I asked about the level two tech that told me it was a Turbotax issue, todays tech assured me that it would be escalated and they would be punished. What complete BS.
