Mi Homestead Property Tax Credit Claim, TurboTax entered the zip code field with 7-3835 instead of 48127. Is this why my return was flagged for review by the St of Mi?

On my 2025 Michigan Homestead Property Tax Credit Claim, TurboTax erroneously populated the zip code field with 7-3835 (these numbers are at the end of my 9 digit zip code) instead of 48127. Is this why my tax return was flagged for review by the State of Michigan?

There are many reasons for MI to be reviewing your return. If they  can't resolve an issue, they will notify you to clear it up. Otherwise, they will decide to let it go through and you will never know the reason unless you call the state - 517-636-4486.
