MD Non-resident - need to indicate I was resident in two other states

I am using Turbotax Desktop. I was a resident of Virginia until 11/02/2025, then moved to Texas and indicated all of this in my profile. My employer is located in MD. During my time residing in Virginia, I am using the reciprocity agreement between Virginia and MD to file taxes to exempt from filing that income in Maryland.
I need to file a Maryland Non-Resident tax form for one pay-period worked in Maryland for my employer while I was a resident in Texas. Turbotax only asks whether I resided in Texas for the whole year and automatically checks "No" on Form 505 to the question: "Were you a resident of another state for the entire year of 2025?" I would like to say Yes - i.e., Virginia. And never a resident of Maryland. But I cannot change this in the form or through the questionnaire. The form also indicates to add an explanation if "No" is checked; but I have no way to add a note.

If someone knows how to fill these properly, please help.

Thanks.

As you go through your Maryland return, you will get to a screen Maryland Wage Income.  In the Wages From Maryland Sources box, you would enter the amount of your Maryland wages that you earned while living in Texas.

When you get to your Virginia return, you will get to a screen Part-Year Allocation where you can subtract the amount of income from the Federal Total that you allocated to Maryland as a Texas resident.  This way, you are not taxed in Virginia on the income taxed by Maryland for your period of residence in Texas.

My issue is not with the wages. I am able to fill this adequately.

My problem is with answering the various residency questions on the Maryland-NR form.

Form 505 asks "Were you a resident of another state for the entire year of 2025?" and my answer to that is Yes. I was a resident of two states for the entire year (VA and TX), and never a resident of Maryland. But Turbotax automatically checks No, and I cannot change it.

Form 505 also indicates that if you check No, you should add an explanation; but TT does not let me add an explanation either.

I would be happy to do either: check "Yes" or "No" and explain residency in two other states (as the question is ambiguous anyway). Has anybody figured this out?
I filled my profile residency questions correctly in TT.

@TaxFiler22204 the answer is "no".  note it asks whether you were a resident of another state FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR.   You did not live in VA for the entire year and you did not live in TX for the entire year.

Yes, and then the form says I have to attach a note if I answer No, and I cannot find a way to add a note to explain. I am anticipating that if you say No and don't explain, MD might assume you were a MD resident for part of the year. If I could explain my two state residencies, I could get ahead of that.

So I am trying to find out whether TT has a a place where I can add a note before filing.

In this case TurboTax does not offer the option to attach a note so you would have to print and mail the return in order to file it with an attachment.
