I'm filing single taxpayer. I reside in CT. Received CT unemployment in 2021 (Jan-Feb) based on previous CT jobs. Did work in MA later in 2021, did not live there. Turbo tax MA state thinks my CT 1099-G (unemployment) is FROM MA!
Review Non-Massachusetts Unemployment
The below entry for Non-MA Portion of Unemployment Compensation results in less Massachusetts
Unemployment than the amount withheld for Massachusetts from it. Please review.
WHAT?? Nothing was withheld from my CT unemployment for MA. Fed and CT taxes were withheld from my CT unemployment.
What am I missing here, please? Or is this a bug? If it's a bug, how to work around it?

When you have multiple states' returns to prepare, always prepare your non-resident return first. In your case, prepare MA return first. As a nonresident of MA, you'll only have to pay taxes on money related to MA.
Sort out the sources of income and let MA that the 1099-G from CT is not taxable by MA.
As you assign your income to Non-MA portion, you will see your MA balance due decreases or refund increases.
