I just saw @Anonymous_ ‘s referral of your question.
Please pardon but I am not near a computer but will attempt to walk through a hypothetical case in the morning.
I do have several questions:
1. Are you not a MA resident and thus filing a MA Form 1-NR/PY return?
Or are you attempting as a MA resident to file a Form 1
2. OR are you filing a MA or Federal return that is other than an Individual return?
I cannot tell from the information available.
3. From what source are you importing the data? From a Schedule K-1 (1065 or other)?
As it is the evening of 16-October-22, you presumably know that you will not be able to file any tax return electronically, whether Federal or state, but must file a printer, paper and mailed return.
If there are any other details that your feel comfortable supplying that would assist to trouble-shooting your problem, you can send an internal (within TurboTax) message to me or to Tagteam.
I do not feel it wise to simple “override” the entry manually (in “Forms Mode” within the desktop program)_
I have not received any further information from you @forster0082
The necessary information would relate to the form on which you received the farm income/loss information:
Did the form to be imported provide detailed income and expense data or simply a summary, being a loss as you say?
Lacking this information, and not believing it wise to simply override an entry using the Forms Mode, I am at a standstill.
This update on deadlines for filing was just made available to us:
Most of you are right. In the past we have "closed" to start prepping for the new tax year. However, this year we'll "stay open" a bit longer. Customers will be able to file until Nov. 30th (with exceptions, please see below).
Here are some dates to keep in mind:
Oct 17th - Last day to “timely file” an initial return for which an Extension has been previously requested
Oct 18th - TTOnline will be turning away new or not started customers
Oct 22nd - Last day to “timely file” a perfected/amended (previously rejected) return for which an Extension has been previously requested.
Oct 31st - TTOnline will start turning away all TY21 filings,
Nov 15th - All customers will be turned away for TY21
Nov 30th - TTLive Full Service Amended returns end
