It keeps asking me for a state ID number and TN doesn’t have one, what do I do? Yes I’ve tried leaving all of 15 blank it doesn’t work.

Try entering the Federal ID number shown on the form you are entering.

...you don't leave just 15 blank... you must leave the entire state line blank.

i.e. boxes 15,16,17 should all be blank on a W-2 for TN

or, boxes 14, 15, 16 should all be blank on a 1099-R for TN
