Is there anything else that I should do to file my state return?

It says “started” when I try to file them it redirects me to the homepage

You may have missed answering a question throughout the interview to complete your state return.  You need to proceed through the whole process to the review then let the software proceed to the filing screen.

To do this in TurboTax Online you can follow these steps:

1. Within your tax return click on State Taxes in the black menu bar on the left
2. Click Start State Taxes and Edit for your state you need to review
3. Verify and Continue through all the questions until you get the green check mark on the Smart Check Results screen
4. Continue through so you can file your return

I tried to do it and on the final step it says “all info saved” and then after I click on continue it redirects me on the homepage. My federal taxes were just accepted but state taxes are still “started”. I tried to do them again and it shows me the same thing “continue with state return”. Do I need to wait a little bit till they are filed? I e-filed my federal taxes but I did not have the option to e-file my state taxes.

Once your federal return shows accepted, you can then go into file your state. Please see the TurboTax FAQ below for instructions:

Also, try closing out of TurboTax and clear your cache and delete cookies. Then sign back into your TurboTax account. If that does not work, try a different browser.
