Is it possible to correct an Alabama return by changing it from a Non-resident return to a Resident return?

I incorrectly filed a 40-NR.  It has been accepted and I've received my refund.  Unfortunately, I should have filed a 40R.  What do I do???

File an amended Alabama income tax return and use Form 40NR.

TurboTax lets you amend state only. For help see "I need to amend my state return."

I did file a 40NR, but actually should have filed a 40A.

You still have to amend. File an amended Form 40A.
