In the state tax return portion, what does it mean when asked if I want part or all of my overpayment applied to my 2022 Oklahoma taxes?

IF you are getting an OK tax refund for 2021 taxes...you can choose to not actually get part-or-all of it sent back to you, but instead have OK keep part/all of it, and have it applied as a pre-payment against any 2022 taxes you might owe next year when you file your 2022 OK tax return in 2023.  You do have to make sure you keep careful track of that "pre-payment" and make sure you record it as having been paid when you prep your OK state taxes next year.

This asks whether you wish to not receive your state tax refund this year and use it to apply to your state tax for 2022.

You can choose this option if you have state estimated taxes to pay for 2022.

If you want to receive your refund, just answer No.
