If my daughter lives and works in one state but her w-2 shows her employer's address in another state- d we file a tax return in both states?

No.  File her return for the state she lives and works in.  It is very common to have an employer that is headquartered in a different state.  That does not mean she has to be taxed by the state the employer is HQ'd in.

No.  File her return for the state she lives and works in.  It is very common to have an employer that is headquartered in a different state.  That does not mean she has to be taxed by the state the employer is HQ'd in.

No, you only file the state where your daughter lives and works.  The state where employer locates is irrelevant.
