No. Buying a house already equipped with solar panels does not qualify you for the solar credit.

To qualify for the solar credit, you must pay for a solar system which is installed and placed in service in your residential home during the tax year.

no you don't. only new construction on an existing home or improvements to existing qualify. there is no credit for solar on a newly constructed home.

I have three qualifying dependent children. Age 13, 17, & 18. All 3 lived with us the entire year. Why does Turbo tax say we do not receive the Family size tax credit?
