I worked in MD lived in VA all year w2 from MD job gave me has Va tax. does that mean i only have to file for VA taxs or MD filed in MD as non resident and is say i owe

No, you don't need to file a Maryland tax return.
Virginia and Maryland have tax reciprocity, so you only need to file in your home state unless taxes were withheld in the working state.
