I worked as a non-resident in Oregon 3 days a week and at home in washingon 2 days a week, but was taxed by Oregon for 5 days a week. How do I adjust my taxable wages?

I am using Turbo Tax online Do It Yourself Premium, and there is no option to adjust my Oregon wages for the percentage of days worked in Oregon. How do I adjust my Oregon income to reflect the percent of time actually worked in Oregon?

To adjust your Oregon taxable wages in TurboTax Online, you must complete the Oregon Source Income and Adjustments screen, which appears during the Oregon state interview.

  1. Go to the State Taxes tab and add/edit Oregon.
  2. TurboTax will ask about your residency. Confirm you are a nonresident for the entire year.
  3. Continue through the Oregon interview until you reach the screen titled "Here’s the income that Oregon handles differently." Select Done with Income at the bottom.
  4. On the very next screen, "Oregon Source Income and Adjustments," you will see two columns: Federal and Oregon.
    • In the Oregon column, manually enter the adjusted dollar amount of your wages earned while physically in Oregon (typically 60% of your total wages if you worked 3 out of 5 days).
