I work in DC, moved half way through the year to VA & forgot to update my address. I paid DC taxes for the entire year and no VA taxes. How do I file my state returns?

You are correct. You will file a part-year resident return for both DC and Virginia. You will need to allocate (or split) your income to show what was earned while living in DC and what was earned while living in Virginia.
