I was an independent contractor who worked remotely from home in KS. The company is hq;ed in MO, and I occasionally went there for meetings. Do I file MO taxes?

I worked from my home (KS) office most often but occasionally from the client's Missouri office for meetings and occasional working sessions.  I only worked for them for about 8 months.

Generally, you do not file a tax return in a state if you:

·        Do not live in the state,

·        Do not have income from the state, or

·        Do not have a presence (referred to as "nexus") in the state.

Because you do not have an office or due a significant amount of work in the state, you probably do not have nexus in that state,  click here for the Missouri nexus requirement.
