I paid ad valorem tax on my vehicle in the State of Georgia during 2017. Can I deduct this as a part of my itemized deductions for the tax year 2017?
When the tax law changed in GA, I elected to pay my ad valorem taxes annually instead of paying them all outright.

The Georgia ad valorem fee is based on the value of the vehicle and assessed annually, so it is deductible as an itemized deduction on Schedule A.
