Usually if the return was transmitted but rejected, it will show a later postmark. Most states will allow for corrections of returns that were transmitted timely. If you have the emails that show there were rejections or the email that shows the transmission and postmark, this will suffice as proof.
I do not want a postmarked. I need the original transmittal report for the state.
My taxes were submitted 10/15/2025 for 2024
Received stupid agi verifications that went on for days.
Have email stating when submitted on 10/15/2025 but state said they need the transmittal report from turbotax...
But the stupid postmarked show 10/18/3025..
Tax person did not know why received agi for wife & I separately and across 3 days.
WHO DO I NEED TO GET IN TOUCH TO GET THE TRANSMISSION REPORT.
There was know tax error or changes just silly question asking for individual agi for separate individuals when filled jointly. That took over 3 days of submitting waiting and submiting....
Talked with Federal tax expert and they said that delay was from turbo tax not the IRS...
My taxes were not rejected by Fed or State as far as we could tell - as I did not change anything....it's a stupid agi verification...The state said the email is insufficient and they need the transmittal record showing the submitting and the request for agi..
So need to get thru to turbotax to retrieve it and regretting I used them again after last year's issue.
