I moved from NM to TX this year but my employer continued to take income tax out for NM for about 3 months after I had moved to TX. What should I do when filing my taxes?

My employer was taking out income taxes out of my paychecks for about 3 months after I had already left NM. Is there anything I can do to get thay money back? What steps should i take?

You will need to file a Part-Year New Mexico return to get a refund of the excess tax withheld for New Mexico.  Texas does not have a state income tax, so you will not need to file a return with them.
