i made a mistake on my state filing in reference to whether or not my district was a taxing district. i entered yes, but it is not. now i cannot complete the last step because in the process because i don't know how to go back to change the district type.

I don't know what state you are dealing with so I can't be too specific. However, you can delete the state return and start it over, as sometimes that is the best solution since normally the state returns don't take too long to complete.
