I'm on my wages part of my taxes. I just don't understand what I am supposed to do where state and local tax withholding is ?

You enter the amounts as shown on your W-2 that you receive from your employer.

Employers have until the end of January to issue you the W-2.

What has 2022 & 2023?  Sounds like you are on the income summary page that has a column for 2022 and a column for 2023?  Or does your W2 or paystub have an amount sfor 2022 & 2023?  First of all you need to wait to get your W2.  Your employer has until Jan 31 to send it to you.  You can't  use your paystub.
