I lived in two states this year because of college. I entered that I lived in both of them for the full year, because I technically did, but it is telling me to fix it.

For tax purposes, you can only be the resident of one state at a time.

For most students, they retain their home state as resident state and consider their state of the school their non-resident state.

Then how do I go back and change the fact that I "lived in two states?"

Return to My Info and unclick that you lived in two states.

That is already unclicked. I think it is the State Tax dates that are making it impossible for me to e-file. But I can't find the place to fix it.

Check the rest of My Info. Then go to states and modify as needed

That doesn't show up. I earned income in two states, but one was from my school. I can't get back to the dates where I edit the state tax rates and dates I was in each state.
